During the Month of October a fun evening was held at the TEN PIN BOWLING CENTER in Torrevieja, and below are some of the members who participated and were rewarded for their efforts, ranging from the highest individual scorers and team winners, to the Wooden Spoon winners

Presentation of €3000- Cheque to AECC 2007 Our Charity Match raised (€3000-) from sponsorship and was presented to Jackie and Alan James of the AECC





2008 Chosen Charities Presentation On Sunday 16^th of November 2008, at the Restaurant Castilla, Carp-R-Us Angling and Social Club of Rojales presented cheques in the sum of €675.00 each, to the two chosen charities of 2008. These were presented to Anne Wyllie, representing Debra (The Butterfly Children) and Ian and Margaret McCabe, representing APAH. Debra offers help and support for the incurable disease Epidermolysis Bullosa, which is an incredibly painful and disabling skin condition. Often children with this condition need full time care and support. APAH rescues abandoned and ill treated animals, bringing them back to good health, and looking after them or placing them in foster homes for the rest of their lives or until a new permanent family can be found for them. No animal in their care is ever destroyed, except in the case of extreme illness or suffering. The volunteers who work for both of these organisations do so tirelessly without any financial gain, and are to be congratulated for the long hours and hard work that they put in. All the members of Carp- R-Us are proud to have been able to give some financial support to both these worthwhile causes.
