This weeks match the ninth in the Winter series was fished on the Eden Canal part of the River Segura in Guardamar.

The rain started just after 7.00am making the access to the swims very difficult. Barry Homer was the top rod on the day with a weight of 5.48 kilos which included a Carp of 4.500 kilo- well done. In second place was Dennis Pick , third was David Bacon and Dave Hill was fourth.

The last match in the winter series will be fished on the 9^th of February on the Sweet Water Canal in Guardamar- pegs at 8.30am and fishing 9.30 to 2.30. All the Federation Cards for the Valencia region have arrived and I will issue them as soon as possible.

The next Quiz Night is on Valentines day- February 14^th, starting at 7.30 pm. The cost for this evening is just 1 Euro per person with teams up to 6 or less being allowed to compete. There is a raffle held to pay for the finger buffet that is provided.

The next one of our Clubs meetings will be held on Sunday the 19^th of February with the Committee at 10.00 and the General meeting at 11.00am.

Carp-R-Us meets at the Bar El Alto La Dolores which is open for business from 10.00 am on Tuesdays to Sunday. It can be found just off the new round about on the N332 near to the Repsol garage between La Mata and Guardamar
